Bihar Flood: The situation in Bihar has worsened once again due to floods. The water level of the rivers is constantly increasing. After the water level increased in the low-lying areas, people have started migrating to safer places. Death toll due to floods continues, official figures revealed

Government figures show that in the flood affected areas, 1780 people are affected in Buxar, 70234 in Bhojpur, 76019 in Saran, 94600 in Vaishali, 93000 in Patna, 7600 in Samastipur, 45000 in Begusarai, 45000 in Lakhisarai, 81363 in Munger, 19770 in Khagaria and 1192 in Bhagalpur. So far, five people have lost their lives in the flood. However, more cases of death have been reported.

CM Nitish Kumar did an aerial survey

Here, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday conducted an aerial survey of the water level of the Ganga river in Patna and Vaishali districts, and also directed the officials to provide full assistance to the affected people in case of floods. He said that according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), detailed guidelines have been given to all the districts and related departments, it should be ensured that it is followed strictly. Engineers should remain fully alert and senior officials should remain camped at the site.
